Gaining Mass – 3 Ways To Gain Muscle Mass

Gaining Mass

Walk into any gym today and you’ll see lots of people using machines and lifting weights but you don’t see anyone WORKING OUT. By that I mean that no one is really working to push their muscles to the edge. It’s not really because guys don’t want to be bigger, it’s that they don’t know how to go about building muscle. If it is really your desire to gain huge muscles then here are 3 tips to go about doing that:

Eat and eat, and then eat some more

Lesson number one to gaining mass muscles is to eat plenty of high quality, high protein foods. Guys always want to know what exercises to do, how many set, etc, etc. But most people don’t realize that if you don’t eat enough food to match those rigorous workouts, you won’t gain any muscle mass.

To gain mass, you need to eat more calories than you burn. The only way your body can build new tissue is when it has a surplus of fuel; especially protein fuel. Anyone that you see with a massive muscular physique understands this fact. Eating is a top priority for them.

Train For Maximum Strength

This is going to be tough for you to hear but if you’ve been reading those popular fitness magazines you’ve been wasting your time. To gain mass, you have to gain strength, period. You have to focus on getting stronger; on lifting as much as possible. A stronger muscle is a bigger muscle. All that other fluff can be very beneficial (like core strength and cardio), but we are here to talk about Gaining Muscle Mass.

Concentrate on compound movements with heavy weight

Most guys who workout to build muscle mass will do a lot of exercises like flyes, curls, and triceps extensions. While these have their place under the bodybuilding umbrella, they are probably the least effective way to build massive muscles. These are called single muscle movements or isolated movements. A compound movement is a movement that requires more than one muscle group involved. You can also consider it a movement that requires more than one joint to be moving.

So to gain mass, your goal should be to get as strong as you possibly can by lifting as much weight as you possibly can by doing compound exercises. These are things like bench presses, dips, pull-ups, rows, squats, military presses, and various types of these.

These movement are the most functional movements you can do and the ones that will allow you to lift the most weight. And as we said before, lifting more weight means getting stronger, and to get stronger your muscles have to get bigger.

So these are just 3 tips to start you on your muscle building program. Never stop seeking information on ways to improve your progress gaining mass will be no problem for you.
